Let me give you some backstory to this.
It's a very common joke that when people complain about having a headache, the go-to follow-up question often is "Have you drank enough water?"
Ever since, a bit over 10 years ago, I've been dealing with what I like to call "a chronic stuffed nose". Sometimes its fixed by just blowing my nose every now and then. On some occasions the gunk slips back and comes out later as vomit. This effect hasn't been as much present in my life thank goodness.
But because of this I have been going to the doctors every now and then to check, hey what's wrong.
Nothing is apparently wrong.
At one point I even got a lecture on how mucus is supposed to form at a certain part of my mouth area.
I decided that going to the doctors office about this clearly isn't helping me at all.
I do have several types of allergies to which I keep taking antihistamin pills pretty much daily.
This other weekend after sleeping horribly I woke up with the mouth dry as the sahara desert and I was convinced that I caught a flu bug again. But then I was suggested to drink a little more water than usual.
And all of a sudden, I start feeling better, my nose isn't as stuffed anymore – progress is definitely being made here.
The annoyance here is that to keep this ball of progress going I have to remember to drink water like its my job to drink water.
Do neurotypicals struggle with this?
