Sony very recently published an update on their blog about their plans to end the production of physical discs for games in 2028 if I remember right. (I'll of course link the update here as well)
I think this finally activated my old person genes because what do you mean the future is all digital? I liked to have discs and some digital purchases because it gives me the option to choose. Now with licensing deals being fickle I'm not so sure whether we're going to have movies on bluray or dvd soon anymore.
Which is why I'll sometime soon, after I come back from holiday I will start planning on how to build a media pc for our living room. I think I'll slowly wane off from the use of streaming services and start seriously making digital copies of the movies and tv-shows that I own and will proceed to become a menace at flea markets.
